Three people were reportedly killed after a bombing occurred near the Stade de France during the France-Germany friendly match on Friday. Multiple attacks occurred around Paris along with the explosion, including a shooting at a concert venue that left over 100 people dead.
According to the Associated Press, French president Francois Hollande was evacuated from the match and he later called for a state of emergency. Reports from France speculate that the explosion was a suicide bombing and the Daily Mail reports that police "confirmed" that "two suicide attacks and a bombing" happened near the stadium.
France won the match 2-0 over Germany and according to ESPN FC, Germany manager Joachim Low said after the match that his players were "frightened" after dealing with a bomb scare at the team hotel. Three people were reportedly killed in the attacks near the stadium, while at least 100 were killed when attackers took hostages at The Bataclan. The American band Eagles of Death Metal were playing at the venue and the location was later taken back by police.
A video on the internet of the soccer match captured a moment when an explosion could be heard in the background at the stadium. According to the BBC, French Football Federation president Noel Le Graet said that "President of the Republic had to leave very early because of the shootings that took place in Paris to join the Interior Ministry."
The Daily Mail reports that there is a chance the next match for France against England at Wembley Stadium could be delayed after the attacks.
