The MLB trade market this offseason has some notable names, as players like Jose Fernandez, Aroldis Chapman, Todd Frazier, Jackie Bradley, Brandon Phillips, Jurickson Profar, Elvis Andrus and Yasiel Puig could be potential targets for teams. Craig Kimbrel was moved in a big trade for the Reds Sox and Padres and the Yankees have also been mentioned in deals involving Andrew Miller and Brett Gardner.

The Cincinnati Reds are considered to be a team that could make some deals this offseason, as players like Todd Frazier, Aroldis Chapman and Brandon Phillips could be targets. The Boston Red Sox reportedly checked in on Chapman before making the Kimbrel trade and Jon Heyman at CBS Sports reports that Chapman is likely going to be a main target at the winter meetings. Heyman also reported last week that the Yankees were "willing" to listen to offers for Andrew Miller.

Jose Fernandez has come up in trade rumors this month and while Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reported a few days ago that the Marlins were "not shopping" Fernandez, a new report has the team considering a deal. Andy Slater at 940-AM WINZ writes that the Marlins clubhouse was a bit of a "circus" this season and that the Marlins "front office is not happy" with Fernandez's attitude. The team has gone back and forth with agent Scott Boras about Fernandez and his usage and moving forward that could lead the Marlins to consider a trade for the young ace.

Chapman is one player that is very likely getting traded this winter, as the Cincinnati Enquirer reports that president of baseball operations Walt Jocketty "hopes to get something done by the Winter Meetings." Chapman is heading into free agency soon and after Kimbrel was traded, the Reds likely will look for a deal similar to what the Padres got. Teams like the Yankees, Blue Jays, Diamondbacks and Astros have reportedly been interested in Chapman this offseason. The Tigers also had reported interest, but the team just added Francisco Rodriguez in a deal with the Brewers.

According to SB Nation, the San Diego Padres could be interested in a trade for Elvis Andrus with the Texas Rangers, as the team has been looking to upgrade at shortstop since last season. Andrus is just 27 and has a contract that runs into 2023 and he could be a potential option for teams, as the Rangers have Jurickson Profar and could push him into the starting lineup. The Padres have shown a willingness to make moves under AJ Preller and after trading Craig Kimbrel they could look at Andrus.

Jackie Bradley, Brandon Phillips, Yasiel Puig and Todd Frazier have also been mentioned in trade rumors this offseason and those names could be options for teams at the winter meetings. Bradley reportedly has had interest from the Cubs, Orioles and Royals, while Frazier also reportedly is available. Jayson Stark at ESPN reported that one team executive said that Frazier could be had from the Reds. David Schoenfield at ESPN writes that Indians, White Sox, Angels and Mets could be landing spots for Frazier.
