Champions League Results and Standings: Barcelona, Arsenal, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Dynamo Win, Lionel Messi Scores 2 Goals

The UEFA Champions League group stage was back in action this week and Barcelona, Arsenal, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Dynamo, Gent and Zenit St. Petersburg won their matches on Tuesday. Lionel Messi had two goals as Barcelona won 6-1 against Roma, while the Blues won over Maccabi Tel Aviv.

The results on Tuesday saw Barcelona win big against Roma with six goals, including two from Lionel Messi as he returned to Champions League play. Messi recently came back for El Clasico over the weekend after being out for a couple months following knee surgery and he made an impact right away for Barca. Zenit won 2-0 over Valencia, while Arsenal won 3-0 against Dinamo Zagreb.

Bayern Munich won 4-0 against Olympiacos on Tuesday, while Gent won 2-1 against Lyon. Chelsea was dominant in a 4-1 win against Maccabi Tel Aviv, while Dynamo won 2-0 against Porto. BATE Borisov and Bayer Leverkusen played to a 1-1 draw and on Wednesday some of the teams in action include Juventus, Manchester City, Atletico Madrid, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Galatasaray, Wolfsburg and Benfica.

Chelsea is now in position with Porto on top of Group G with 10 points after the win against Maccabi, while Dynamo is in third place with eight points. Chelsea can get to the last 16 with a pint in their final group game and the next match for the team will be at Stamford Bridge in December. Chelsea has struggled in the Premier League, but the team has the chance to make it into the next stage in the Champions League next month.

Barcelona had another dominating performance after winning El Clasico over the weekend with the 6-1 victory and the match saw goals from Messi and Luis Suarez. Barcelona is into the next stage through Group E after winning over Roma and the team looks like the favorites in the Champions League this season.
