The Buffalo Bills have Tyrod Taylor dealing with a shoulder injury heading into Week 12, but the quarterback is expected to start for Rex Ryan this weekend. LeSean McCoy and Sammy Watkins are the top fantasy football options for the Bills, while Karlos Williams and Robert Woods could be sleeper options for team owners.
Taylor is coming into the weekend after injuring his right shoulder against the Patriots, but he is expected to be able to play against the Chiefs. According to Mike Rodak, Taylor is questionable for the game against the Chiefs and he was limited in practice along with Marcell Dareus on Wednesday. NFL.com reports that Ryan said on Wednesday that he thinks Taylor will be able to play and that Taylor said that he feels "good" and is "ready to go."
Taylor was up and down against the Patriots on Monday night, completing 20-of-36 passes for 233 yards in the game. The matchup ended in a loss for the Bills, but there were some major blunders by the referees, including a bad call on Sammy Watkins that resulted in the end of the game. The NFL admitted on Tuesday that Watkins should have been ruled out of bounds with two seconds left in the fourth quarter instead of running the clock, which ended the game.
The Bills are hoping that Taylor can play, as this week is a huge matchup in the AFC standings with both Buffalo and Kansas City at 5-5. The Chiefs are the hottest team in the NFL, having won four straight games after starting 1-5 and they are right in the mix for the playoffs. Sammy Watkins did not have a great game last week, but he is a good starting option on Sunday, as Ryan said that he wants to get the receiver more targets moving forward.
Watkins has just six catches since breaking out with eight catches for 168 yards and a TD against the Dolphins in Week 9 and he could be a main focus for the Bills on Sunday. Robert Woods is a solid deep league option or a WR3 option for owners, as he comes in after making four catches on nine targets against the Patriots.
LeSean McCoy continues to be the top option at RB for the Bills and despite the tough defense from the Chiefs, he is worth starting in Week 12. McCoy comes in after putting up 123 yards total against the Patriots and he had 20 carries for 82 yards in the game. Williams had just six rushes for 11 yards against the Pats, but he could see some extra work behind McCoy this week. Williams had 110 yards two weeks ago against the Dolphins and he is worth starting as an RB2 or flex option this weekend.
