As we speak, the qualifying rounds of the Australian Open are taking place. Seedings have yet to take place, but on Monday, the first grand slam tournament of 2013 will kick off. Here are the times and dates for the matches.
Important Dates of the Tournament
Write it down in your calendar! The tournament is taking place from Monday, January 14- Sunday, January 27.
Monday sees the beginning of the tournament with first round singles matchups for both Men and Women.
We then fastforward to the quarterfinal of the tournament. On Tuesday, January 22 and Wednesday, January 23, Men and Women Australian Open quarterfinals take place with two matches at 11 a.m. ET and another at 7:30 p.m. ET on both days.
Men's Semifinals take place on Thursday, January 24 and Friday, January 25 both at 7:30 p.m. ET, while both Women's Semifinals will take place on Thursday, January 24.
The tournament wraps up with Men's Finals on Sunday, January 27 at 7:30 p.m. ET. Before this, however, on Saturday, January 26, Women's Finals set off at 7:30 p.m. ET.
Too bad for the NFL Pro-Bowl. Whoever makes it to the Men's Finals will surely overshadow that football game.
