The PGA Tour Doral leaderboard at the WGC-Cadillac Championship has Tiger Woods closing in on the leaders in Patrick Reed, Jason Dufner and Hunter Mahan in Florida and comes after a great third round on Saturday at the golf tournament and now the final round should be a good battle at the top of the scoreboard from TPC Blue Monster.

Woods soared back into the top part of the leaderboard with some of his best play of the season and he now sits at one under after putting up a score of six under on the day on Saturday and that came after two scores over 72 on the first two rounds and now he is just one stroke back of Dufner and Mahan, while Patrick Reed is the top player on the board heading into the final day. Part of the reason that the scores are so close at the top has to do with the weather the past couple days and now Woods has the chance to get back on track after the season that he has had. Woods is on his way to having his best performance of the year after flaming out at the Farmers Insurance Open and Dubai and his withdrawal from the Honda Classic and even without a win here, Woods has to feel good about how he played.

Woods had a string of four birdies in six holes at one point and he opened the day with two birdies in his first three holes and now he is chasing Mahan, Dufner and Reed and Sunday could be a winning day after Woods took the WGC-Cadillac Championship last year at Doral. Woods put up a 65 at PGA National and while that didn't end as well, Woods now is right in contention and this came after hitting only eight fairways on the day and he used that to his advantage by keeping himself on 14 greens and he ended the day with 25 putts and now he can take that into the final round for some momentum ahead of the Masters in April.

Woods had his best performance of the year and he had eight birdies and he ended up with a six under and on the Monster course things can be tough and he finally mastered it and now he has the chance on the final day to get into the mix and this comes after he won back his number one ranking last year from Rory McIlroy. Woods won this tournament last season as one of his three before the Masters last year and now he comes in looking to continue his strong putting and he hit his longest putt in years and on Saturday he had eight birdies and had one on the tough 15th hole and through his first three tournaments of the year were his worst start ever.

Woods is getting ready for the Arnold Palmer Invitational tournament and he won that last year too and this could be the performance he needs to get back on track.
