Miami Marlins vs. New York Mets Live Stream: Watch 2013 MLB NL Action Free Online 1:10 PM ET

The Miami Marlins are coming off of their first win of the season after beating the New York Mets on Friday night. They were swept in their opening series against the Washington Nationals and were in desperate need of win. Manager Mike Redmond got his first victory as a new manager, saying it felt pretty cool to get the first win under his belt.

Miami was outscored 11-1 in the season opening series, but on Friday they broke out of their .167 batting average slump, getting 11 hits, including five for extra bases. Justin Ruggiano looked strong as he got two hits, two RBI and two stolen bases. He is batting .400 with five RBIs in his career when playing the Mets so he could be poised for a strong weekend series. John Buck is off to a productive start to the season. He has hit in all four games, going 7 for 17 with two home-runs. Ricky Nolasco will start for Miami. In 31 starts in 2012, Nolasco had a 4.48 ERA.

Jonathon Niese will take the mound for the Mets. He is off to a solid start to the 2013 season. He only gave up four hits and two runs in six innings in the team's win against San Diego. Niese has had success against the Marlins over the last four seasons posting a 3.06 ERA. David Wright has started the season off in a slump. He has gone 3-for-14 so far and the Mets need him to be productive if they want to keep up in a competitive NL. He thrives off hitting against Nolasco in his career, going 12 for 27 with three home runs and three hits for extra bases.
