The NFL's Preseason is now half way done. The Seattle Seahawks face an always Super Bowl favorite, Green Bay Packers in Week 3 of the 2013 preseason. Wait, so that's another contender right after facing the Denver Broncos. Now the Packers are up next? Who made this schedule for the Seahawks? Almost seems a bit unfair.. Could this be an NFC championship matchup as both teams meet in a Friday exhibition game?
The Seahawks are rolling. At 2-0 so far in the NFL Preseason, you would think the regular season had already taken off. It's no surprise the Seahawks have only allowed 20 points through the first two games of the season. They gave up the fewest points in the NFL in 2012.
Wait, but this matchup rings a bell...
Why yes! The season changing play that brought back the real referees. This took place the last time these two teams met during Week 3 of the 2012 season. The Seahawks won the game, while the Packers missed out on a playoff bye week after going 11-5 on the year. They still defeated the Minnesota Vikings in the Wild Card round, but they were hammered by the San Francisco 49ers in the Divisional round.
{Here's my live blog coverage of how the controversial call went down last season}
For the Packers, the NFL Preseason hasn't treated them too poorly. After being shutout in Week 1 by the Arizona Cardinals, they bounced back to beat the St. Louis Rams, 19-7. Aaron Rodgers had a great game, going 10/12 for 134 yards. B.J. Coleman, who's entering his first season in the NFL, threw the Packers' only touchdown of the game. He went 8/13 with 86 passing yards. Though the running game is looking a bit suspicious for the Packers in 2013, their receivers look ready to go as Jermichael Finley caught four passes for 78 yards and rookie Myles White went for 48 yards after five receptions.
Will there be any drama in this game as two of the NFC's top teams meet in the NFL Preseason? Get ready to see that highlight on replay during Friday's game.
