The Green Bay Packers and the San Francisco 49ers are playing in the most anticipated matchup of the postseason and the last one of Wild Card weekend and it will decide the NFC playoff bracket and who will play the Carolina Panthers and the game starts up at 4:40 pm ET on FOX from Lambeau Field and it is expected to be below freezing and in the minus temperatures on Sunday for the game.
The Niners are heading into their coldest game in a couple year and they are coming into the playoffs after a win against the Arizona Cardinals and they know they will be travelling to the east coast if they win as the Panthers are the numbers two seed in the conference. The New Orleans Saints won their first road game in team history in the playoffs against the Eagles in Philadelphia on Saturday night and with the Saints being the number six seed in the conference, they will go visit the Seattle Seahawks at CenturyLink Field next Saturday.
The Packers and 49ers have played each other a few times over the past couple seasons and the Niners have beaten them twice last calendar year in the wild card game and then in the regular season this year. Colin Kaepernick grew up in Wisconsin and while the weather will be freezing, it shouldn't bee too much a factor since both teams rush the ball very well. The Packers finally put together a solid rushing attack to go along with Aaron Rodgers in the passing game and this season it ended up being crucial with him missing seven games on the schedule and now he is back after passing the winning touchdown to Randall Cobb last week on the road against the chicago Bears and that helped the team win the NFC North title and now they are home for this playoff game despite having four less wins than the Niners.

The Niners have a top 10 ranked defense and the Packers have that on offense and San Fran comes in allowing less than 100 yards per game on the ground per game to rank fourth in the league in rushing yards per game and the team is also ranked in the top three in rushing yards on offense behind Frank Gore and Colin Kaepernick and after the QB rushed all over the Packers last season, he could try and do the same again this time around.
The Niners come in with a 12-4 record on the season and they went 5-1 against the NFC West division, but they lost the one game they needed to win against the Seattle Seahawks and now they come into the playoffs on the road at Lambeau and they could face a showdown with the Seahawks on the road again at CenturyLink Field if they can get past the Panthers and that would take the team back across the country if they can win on Sunday.
