North Carolina and Virginia Tech are playing on Saturday in an ACC college basketball game and the matchup will be streaming online from ESPN on the ESPN3 website from the Cassell Coliseum and starts up at 2:30 pm ET and gives UNC a chance to continue their winning streak leading into the back stretch of the season when they finish against Duke on the schedule.
The Tar Heels come into the game after a close overtime win against North Carolina State and they are 21-7 on the season and rising in the ACC and the nation, as they are now ranked 19th after falling out a little earlier in the year and they are looking to try and finish off their conference schedule clean. The game is on the schedule before the Tar Heels play on Monday against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and they finish the season on the road against Duke and that will be at Cameron Indoor Stadium at 9 pm and comes after the team won over Duke a couple weeks ago.
North Carolina comes into the game at 11-4 on the season and the Hokies are 9-18 overall and 2-13 in the ACC and they will be trying to pull the upset. The team comes into the game scoring just over 77 points per game and they are ranked eighth in the nation in rebounds per game and they are 20th in assists per game with over 15 and they should be in the mix coming up in the ACC tournament. There are four ranked teams in the ACC right now and Syracuse and Virginia are battling for the conference title in the regular season and Duke should be one of the favorites for the conference tournament.
