The Women's U.S. Basketball Team comes into the London 2012 Olympics determined to continue their greediness after owning the women's basketball gold medal since the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta.
Connecticut Huskies coach Geno Auriemma will look to repeat U.S. domination in the event as he takes six of his former basketball players into London.
Half of the roster has chemistry as they have played under Auriemma's system in college.
This alone gives international competition a disadvantage. It is one thing to simply be talented, but when you have a group of talented athletes that understand each other because they have played with each other before, then it is difficult for opposing nations to win.
Of course, what comes up on a stat sheet is different then what happens on the court. The U.S. team will have to perform because opposing nations will not just lay down and hand over a victory.
Team USA was perfect during exhibition as they were able to display the skilled roster they possess. They will have to find a way to translate this onto the court tomorrow in London.
Tip off for Women's Basketball is at 11:45 a.m. ET on Saturday morning.
