The action has concluded on Saturday. With just one more day of competition, here are the medal counts at the London 2012 Olympics.
The United States might not have won gold in all of their events, but they performed well enough throughout the Olympics to gain entry in medal events to at least walk out with bronze. The important thing now is that they placed themselves in winning position, despite not taking the highly valued gold.
USA's Women's basketball team won their fifth consecutive gold medal in the event. It is the first time in Olympic history that a country dominates a single event in such fashion. They defeated France 86-53.
They also took silver in the Women's High Jump with Bridgetta Barrett's performance and won gold in the Women's 4x400m Relay.
U.S. controls the overall medal count as they have more medals than any other country in all three categories. They are currently 6 gold above China, possessing a 15 medals overall lead.
