Philadelphia Eagles Predictions: 2-4 Record Looming Before They Hit Bye Week?

The Philadelphia Eagles did a great job winning two close games by one point, but their Week 3 performance made them look more like the Tennessee Titans as they fell 27-6 to the Arizona Cardinals. Their schedule for the next couple of games, however, might have the team going through a bit of a losing streak.

Their schedule does not help their chances of winning the NFC East as they face tough opponents before their Week 7 Bye.

Up next for the Eagles in their Sunday Night Football matchup are the New York Giants who have lit up the scoreboard in their past two games and are one of the top offenses in the league.

The Giants will go into Week 4 second in the league in passing yards per game (325.7), third in total yards per game (426) and fourth in the league in points scored (31.3). Their defense has given up 21.7 points through the first three games on average, but the Eagles only score 15.7 points a game for the worst in the NFL.

This battle does not suit Philadelphia as they also lead the leagues in turnovers and the offensive line has allowed their quarterback Michael Vick to get hit 28 times, which is the most in the NFL.

Following their Week 4 matchup, the Eagles go into Heinz Field where they face the Pittsburgh Steelers. Vick will have to reduce the amount of interceptions and fumbles as the Steelers are still dangerous on defense.

The Detroit Lions then come to come as they Eagles host Calvin Johnson and maybe a healthy Matthew Stafford.

Now, both the Lions and Steelers 1-2, but, as mentioned above, the Steelers play good defense. The troubles that the Lions can give the Eagles is their ability to put up points by the bunches. The more turnovers the Eagles commit the more chances they will give the Lions to score.

These are just the following three games. If they lose these three matches, they will fall to 2-4 before their bye week and not to mention they have the Atlanta Falcons, New Orleans Saints and Dallas Cowboys on their schedule after they come off their Week 7 break.

These next few games will be tough for the Eagles and might decide whether they will be at the top of the NFC East or if they will once again disappoint fans.
