New York Giants
Eli Manning (Quarterback): Eli Manning had a solid fantasy day posting 292 yards from the field along with 2 touchdowns and no interceptions. The Giants may have lost the game but from a fantasy perspective Manning did noticeably better than most expected.
Odell Beckham JR (Wide Receiver): ODB has a wild Sunday, erupting for 146 yards and a touchdown. ODB was targeted 12 times and he brought in 7 of them. This is a reliving game for fantasy owners who took him in the first or second round.
Shane Vereen (Running Back): Vereen did not get much done on the ground in week 2 as he finished with 6 carries for 19 yards but made himself a versatile weapon in the passing game hauling in 8 catches for 76 yards. Without his emergence in the passing game Vereen would not be a fantasy option going forward.
Larry Donnell (Tight End): Donnell has become the main tight end for this offense throughout the last 2 seasons however decent fantasy value seems to elude him. On Sunday Donnell finally found the end zone finishing the day catching 4 out of 6 targets for 28 yards and a touchdown.
Atlanta Falcons
Matt Ryan (Quarterback): Ryan had a very good day leading his team to a victory but his fantasy stats were a little more modest. Ryan finished the day going 30 of 46 for 363 yards and a touchdown. While this is a mild fantasy performance, Ryan should continue to put up numbers with Julio Jones lighting up defenses around the NFL.
Julio Jones (Wide Receiver): Jones continues to prove why he was taken in the first round of 2015 fantasy football drafts as he racked up 135 yards catching all but 2 of his targets (13/15). Jones sniffed the end zone but never got in as he was ruled down at the one yard line after an amazing deep pass towards the end zone. Jones is currently battling Antonio Brown for the number 1 WR in the league.
Tevin Coleman (Running Back): Coleman had his best game as a pro putting up some solid numbers before breaking one of his ribs and remaining on the sidelines for the rest of the game. Coleman ended his day with 9 carries for 32 yards and a touchdown. Coleman should be considered out for the week 3 matchup against Dallas.
Waiver Wire Targets:
Andre Williams (NYG) (Running Back): Williams had the most yards of any running back on the Giants roster. He also is one of the few backs on that roster to look comfortable running behind this awful offensive line. He racked up 43 yards on 6 carries and might be the Giants best bet at running the ball this season.
Devonta Freeman (ATL) (Running Back): Freeman became the every down back after Coleman's injury and quickly became the waiver wire add of the game. He carried the ball 12 times for 25 yards and a touchdown. He also caught 4 out of 8 targets for 34 yards which will only add to his value in PPR leagues. Freeman is a fast running back with a knack for being productive in the passing game however he has not been proven durable enough yet to be an every down back.
Leonard Hankerson (ATL) (Wide Receiver): Hankerson absolutely demolished Roddy White in targets. Hankerson finished with 11 targets hauling in 6 of them for 77 yards and a touchdown. Hankerson was one of the training camp MVPs so it is only right that he moves up the depth chart after being this productive.
