WWE Raw offered some explosive matchup's on Monday night as the Rock lost his championship title to CM Punk in some theatrics.
The night got started off with Paul Heyman handing in his resignation, with CM Punk coming out and trying to convince him otherwise. He would be back later for more. Mark Henry took on The Great Khali and saw a one sided contest, as Henry dominated the match on his way to try and get back the World Heavyweight Championship.
The end of the match saw Heyman try to propose a Rock-Punk rematch at the Elimination Chamber, but he was rebuffed. Suddenly the voice of God Vince McMahon chimed in and after a suggestion that if The Rock got counted out or disqualified he'd lose the title, the commissioner agreed and hung up.
The next battle saw Chris Jericho take on Daniel Bryan and the six-time champ took down his opponent despite him pulling a reverse on the Walls of Jericho. John Cena, Ryback and Sheamus took on 3MB and demolished them, with Cena taking down Jinder Mahal. The Miz later took on Cody Rhodes and won by disqualification after a push into the ring post from Antonio Cesaro. The feud got heated and there could be another matchup in the future.
The Shield came out and put some hurt on John Cena on the microphone, calling him out as a failure. After the lights went down, Cena, Ryback and Sheamus came out and battled down the group. Kane used a choke slam to take down Dolph Ziggler, while the big moment came with the Rock.
At the end he came to Raw and did some story time with the audience, giving an anecdote about being in the city in the 1980s. Soon after, CM Punk and Paul Heyman came out and received some ridicule by the champion before a brawl started going and Heyman tripped up the Rock, allowing Punk to steal back the WWE Championship.
