Florida Gulf Coast University is known for its pristine beaches and tanned bodies, as the beautiful landscape is just a walk away from many dorm rooms and as the school hits the NCAA tournament the coaches wife has some extra eye balls on her.
According to Yahoo Sports, Coach Andy Enfield is married to super model and former Maxim cover girl Amanda Marcum, giving the team some extra headlines as they face off against the number two seeded Georgetown Hoyas. The report says that Marcum likely will get some Katherine Webb treatment at the game and that the two met back in 2003 when the coach gave her a ride to the 2003 NCAA Tournament to watch OK State.
Marcum has been featured in numerous magazines and ads, including for the covers of Elle and Vogue and for Victoria's Secret. The two were engaged six months after the drive and now she is one of the WAGs of college basketball.
In a report from Yahoo from Eric Adelson, Marcum is an understanding spouse and is all about her husband and college basketball.
He wrote: "[Enfield] was hired (at FGCU) on March 31, 2011, a week before the birth of his only son. He admits he recruited via phone from the seat beside his wife's hospital bed, both before and after the delivery. There he was, calling up preps and their families while Amanda had her IVs changed."
"I didn't even know the nurse was in the room," Enfield says. "I'm rolling. And I didn't know anything about FGCU. Then my wife says, 'Can you please be quiet?' "
