Former New York Giants running back and Today show star Tiki Barber has taken a ton of flak over the past few years after leaving his pregnant wife for a 23-year-old intern, but that didn't stop the couple from stepping out together at the Kentucky Derby over the weekend.
According to the Daily Mail, Barber and his 23-year-old wife, Traci Lynn Johnson, who was an intern on the Today show while he worked there, were at the Kentucky Derby on Saturday and walked the red carpet during the 139th run for the roses. Johnson wore a ridiculously large pink hat, as per tradition, while Barber rocked a suit and stylish glasses. Barber had an affair with Johnson in 2010 and then left his wife while eight months pregnant to be with her.
Barber and his wife Ginny were together for 11 years married and he left her while pregnant with twin girls that resulted in a divorce. Later Barber and NBC also split and he now has a deal with CBS Sports radio. The derby was won by favorite Orb with Joel Rosario as the jockey and Barber tweeted about the event while attending. Barber and Johnson got hitched in 2012 after he finalized his divorce and his public image took a big hit from the whole affair.
Barber used to be one of the most beloved Giants figures, but after criticizing Eli Manning and Tom Coughlin as the Giants made their Super Bowl run in 2007, many fans were turned off and he lost even more support when he left his wife for his mistress. Barber originally met his wife in college at the University of Virginia, where he played football, and he was also booed back when he was inducted into the Ring of Honor for the Giants.
