The New York Knicks will be looking for a rebound on Tuesday night as the team takes on the Indiana Pacers in Game 2 from Madison Square Garden and with the game on TNT Reggie Miller may be able to add some insight to the series.
Miller was a Knicks killer in his day and the Pacers did just that in Game 1, as they held the team to a 102-95 loss and gave themselves an advantage heading into Game 2. The Pacers are one of the best defensive teams in the league and they did a solid job on Carmelo Anthony, although they allowed him to score 27 points and grab 11 rebounds. David West and Paul George played tough in Game 1 and the team will need that again for a strong performance on Tuesday.
The Pacers played bigger than the Knicks and outrebounded them by 14 in the game and put themselves in an advantageous spot with the 1-0 lead. The Bulls did the same on the Heat on Monday night, while the Spurs were able to win despite being down by 16 at one point n the game, winning in two overtimes. Anthony was dealing with a sore shoulder in the game and he should be a bit better on Tuesday.
Point guard Raymond Felton will need to put in a solid game for the Knicks and the team will also need some strong shooting from JR Smith to help counter the size of Indiana, including "Parks and Recreation" guest star Roy Hibbert. The Knicks went 54-28 this past season, ahead of the Pacers at 49-32, while New York came into the playoffs on a one game winning streak and the Pacers dropped three in a row, but that didn't stop them from defeating the Atlanta Hawks. The Knicks went 31-10 at home this season, while the Pacers were 19-21.
The Thunder and Grizzlies will be the second game at 9:30 on TNT and Kevin Durant will try to lead OKC to its second straight win. The first game was a tough contest that saw the Thunder pull away with the win after a fantastic final minute that saw Durant hit the winning shot.
