Free agent forward Lamar Odom is having a tough time and things got even tougher after the star was arrested last night for DUI in the wee hours of the morning for driving too slow on the freeway.
TMZ reports that Odom was arrested around 4 am and this comes after the website reported that he has been dealing with drug addictions, including crack and painkillers. Odom was looked at as a free agent option for the Lakers and the Clippers, but now he may be too risky to sign with a team. The arrest is the latest thing he has been dealing with after his cheating issues as well as the drug rumors.
TMZ reports that he was pulled over for driving too slow on the freeway and now he must get past this issue after all the other reports that have come out. Odom was thought to be missing for some time after family was unable to locate him, but his agent said to reporters that he was not missing and now his drug issues have been reported on by TMZ and other outlets. According to ESPN.com, Odom's agent said that the star was not missing and was fine, but other reports said that he was dealing with a drug addiction and had a bender for a few days in a hotel.
TMZ is reporting on his drug use in the past and said that he used drugs while he was with the Mavericks. Sources told the website that Odom had used drugs at a hotel in Memphis while playing the Grizzlies and left damage in the hotel room, including white powder on the desk and other smoke. The Westin was the hotel and there were reports of damage from the room he was staying in and the source also adds that the Mavericks did not know about his issues.
TMZ also snapped pictures of Odom returning back home after being "missing" and said that he looked thin and "gaunt". His wife Khloe also secretly met with him to try and get him help and to intervene for his drug use and all this comes after reports about Odom cheating on his wife in the past. TMZ says that Odom was wearing his wedding ring still and that he met with his wife about everything that is going on.
