LeSean McCoy Injury (Video): Running Back Leaves Game, Limps to the Locker Room

Sep 19, 2013 10:09 PM EDT

The Philadelphia Eagles' offense took a hit in the second quarter as LeSean McCoy injured his leg. No updates have arrived from the Eagles' training staff, but McCoy was in agony following the injury.

McCoy was completing a huge 18-yard run inside the two-minute mark in the second quarter. The Eagles were trying to get some points on the board as they worked their way upfield at the conclusion of the half. McCoy was having success funning the ball, averaging six yards per attempt. He had taken the ball 11 times for 66 yards and the 18-yard gain seemed to breath life in the Eagles' offense.

However, linebacker Akeem Jordan fell on McCoy's right leg, injuring the running back. McCoy stayed on the ground, unable to get up.

The only reports made following the injury were that McCoy was emotionless while walking to the locker room. However, once inside with trainers and staff, McCoy's emotions poured out and one can only conclude that it might be a little serious than imagined. McCoy was able to walk under his own will.

McCoy, the leading rusher in the NFL through the first three weeks of the season, means more to his team than imagined. He's Vick's duo in the back field as both players present a threat on the ground. He was providing above average runs against the Chiefs. Kansas City seemed to barely catch the elusive running back.
