The Washington Huskies and Hawaii Warriors are playing on Saturday night from Aloha Stadium in Honolulu as the college football season opens and the game is live on TV from the CBS Sports Network and online with a live stream as UW starts the year with new head coach Chris Petersen and high expectations have come to Seattle as the Huskies try and open with a win on the road.

The team has gone to bowl games in four straight years after Steve Sarkisian took over and now he is at USC and Petersen comes in after many successful years at Boise State. The team has been successful over the past few years and now they have the chance to be a major players in the Pac-12 and it comes after the Huskies went 9-4 last season. The team won all of its out of conference games, but they went 5-4 in the Pac-12 and they were just 3-2 in their division and 1-2 against the top 25 in the nation.

Washington is expected to be improved this season after winning nine games last year and while they have lost Bishop Sankey to the NFL after he rushed for over 1800 yards, the team is expecting others on the roster to step up. The team has Eastern Washington for their second game and after playing Illinois they have another easy game against Georgia State and that comes ahead of the start of the Pac-12 conference opener.

The team has Stanford and they come into the season ranked high and they will hit the road after that in three of the next four games, including against Cal and Oregon. The Ducks come into the season ranked number three in the nation and they have the chance to be one of the top teams in the country and the one home game in that stretch is with another ranked team in Arizona State. The Colorado Buffaloes are on the road before playing at home against UCLA and that is another tough game.

The Huskies have a tough back stretch to the season and they play against Arizona on the road before a matchup with Oregon State and then the team finishes with Washington State and that will be on the road. Hawaii had a tough season in 2013 and they only won one game and they were just 1-11 and they lost all eight of their conference games and now they are hoping for a better run this year. The team has some solid matchups with the Huskies as well as Colorado from the Pac-12, San Jose State, Fresno State and Nevada.
