Wantaway Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov is keen on a move to Italian giants AC Milan.
Berbatov recently expressed his desire to leave the club on his Facebook page, after failing to find a regular place in the starting line-up last season.
The Bulgarian international said United are expecting at least £5 million ($7.8 million) for the 31-year-old, not the £10 million ($15.6 million) widely reported in the media, and his agent revealed his client dreams of a move to Italy, with Italian champions Juventus also linked with a move.
Milan are on the lookout for a new striker, after agreeing to sell Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Paris St Germain. Milan CEO, Adriano Galliani, said he expects a "champion will arrive in attack" as a replacement for the departing Ibrahimovic.
"He may leave Manchester United at any time," Berbatov's agent Emil Dantchev told calciomercato.com. "His most likely destination is Italy; he's always loved Italian soccer.
"I know that Milan and Juventus are looking for a striker. I can say that they are two big clubs. I cannot say much but I do say that Berbatov likes Milan and looks good in red and black.
"Dimitar would run to AC Milan, because the club have appreciated him for years. They will have to speak with Manchester United and start negotiations."
Berbatov reiterated his desire to leave Manchester United on Sunday, saying: "The truth is, I love this club, but I am not going to be useful to anyone if I am not playing. And I want to play, I want to help.
"But for unknown reasons it's not going to happen, or my chances will be limited, so it's better for everyone if we say goodbye."
