Chelsea Transfer News: Eden Hazard's Brother Thorgan Poised to Join Chelsea

Before Chelsea fans can even get used to supporting one Hazard, another is poised to arrive at Stamford Bridge. Thorgan, brother of Eden Hazard, could join the European champions as soon as Friday, according to Lens Sporting Director Antoine Sibierski.

Thorgan's more celebrated brother, Eden, completed a £32 million ($50m) move to the European champions from Lille, earlier this summer, and the elder sibling seems to have convinced the 19-year-old to join him in London.

"It should be official tomorrow," Sibierski told the French club's official website. "(When I arrived) there was no intention of letting him go and I met him very quickly after my arrival to show my confidence in him.

"He still had one year left and it was proposed he extended it but he told me eye to eye that did not interest him and he wanted to leave Lens.

"I realised 48 hours later why, when I learned Chelsea wanted him. I understand."

Lens coach Jean-Luis Garcia said he understood the opportunity to join his brother was too much for Thorgan to pass up.

"He is a boy of 19, his elder brother signs for Chelsea and he is urged to do so by the same club, who won the Champions League.

"Congratulations to Thorgan. Unfortunately we cannot go against such an opportunity.

"Good luck to him."

Eden, considered to be one of the best youngsters in the game today, has previously said he considers his brother Thorgan to be the more talented player.
