NFL Injury Update: Calvin Johnson, Marshawn Lynch, Eric Ebron, LeSean McCoy, Marcus Mariota, Melvin Gordon, Carson Palmer, Adrian Peterson, Alshon Jeffery

The NFL injury report for Week 15 has updates for players like Calvin Johnson, Eric Ebron, LeSean McCoy, Marcus Mariota, Melvin Gordon, Carson Palmer, Adrian Peterson, Alshon Jeffery, AJ Green and Danny Amendola. Johnson and Ebron play on Monday night against the Saints, while McCoy was taken out of the game against the Redskins with a knee injury.

Johnson is coming into the game on Monday night listed as questionable with an ankle injury, but he is expected to play. Johnson did not practice on Saturday, but he has been dealing with the injury for a while and has been able to suit up for the Lions. Ebron is also listed as questionable for the game on Monday night against the Saints with an illness, but he is expected to play. Ebron did not practice on Saturday while dealing with the illness, but he is expected to play and feature with Brandon Pettigrew out.

Marcus Mariota suffered a knee injury on Sunday and was taken out of the game for the Titans. Zach Mettenberger came in and Pro Football Talk reports that Mariota is dealing with an MCL injury in his right knee. Mariota missed time earlier in the season with a knee injury and NFL.com reports that Mariota could be out for the rest of the season. Mariota may be healthy enough to play, but the Titans may want to shut him down to avoid any serious damage.

McCoy was forced to leave the game on Sunday for the Bills against the Redskins with a knee injury and NFL.com reports that he is considered day to day. Rand Getlin reports that McCoy is dealing with a "minor" MCL sprain and could play next week as long as he does not suffer any setbacks. McCoy was held out of the game after the injury and was replaced by Karlos Williams and Mike Gillislee. Lynch remains out for the Seahawks and does not have a set date to return.

Melvin Gordon was forced to leave the game on Sunday for the Chargers with a knee injury and was replaced by Donald Brown, according to Michael Gehlken of the San Diego Union-Tribune. Gordon had 41 yards in the game before the injury in the win over the Dolphins. Adrian Peterson suffered an ankle injury against the Chicago Bears on Sunday. Peterson was able to return after leaving and added after the game that he did not need an x-ray but that he "definitely" suffered an ankle sprain.

Carson Palmer suffered a finger injury against the Eagles on Sunday night, but it was minor and he only missed a few plays before returning to the game. AJ Green left the game on Sunday for the Bengals with a back injury, but the team was up big and the Bengals likely wanted to be cautious. Alshon Jeffery dealt with a hamstring injury on Sunday and left the game against the Vikings.
