The Atlanta Falcons host the Seattle Seahawks in the Georgia Dome at 1 p.m. ET. Can't catch the game, check out our live blog with play-by-play and scoring updates as this NFC Divisional game will decide who meets the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship.
The Falcons will have to step their game up as a unit. We saw what happened to the great Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos as the bye week had them looking a bit rusty. The Falcons, like the Broncos, are the No. 1 seed in their conference and haven't played since Week 17.
They are facing a Seahawk team that can catch them off stride and do a lot of damage on offense and defense. The Seahawks, more than any other team in the playoffs, relies heavily on their defense. Their passing offense was one of the worst in the league ranking 27th as they averaged less than 190 yards per game.
However, their rushing was third in the league going for 161 yards per game and they eventually put up just under 26 points per game.
Their defense is one of the best remaining and wrapped the season up as the stingiest. But let's not pay too much attention to what teams did in the regular season. The Seahawks looked like they were going to lose last week against the Washington Redskins in the NFC Wild Card game as they allowed touchdowns in the first two possessions of the game. The defense held it down and the offense stepped it up.
The Falcons were the best team in the NFL during the regular season, but we know Matt Ryan isn't the most trusted quarterback in the playoffs.
So let's cut the talking and let these guys do their thing.
